Stonehill Selects Next President/CEO

Stonehill Communities has selected the next President/CEO. Peggy Stockel, who is currently serving as Stonehill Administrator and VP of Operations, will succeed Gretchen Brown, who has been CEO since 2015.

Peggy Stockel has been with Stonehill Communities since 2014. Prior to Stonehill Communities, Peggy previously served as administrator for several other long-term care and assisted living organizations throughout the tri-state area.

“It has always been a privilege to serve older adults. I am honored to be a part of Stonehill’s legacy and excited to serve as CEO,” said Stockel, “The past nine years have been rewarding, challenging and a time for growth. My goal is to build upon Stonehill’s achievements and create a roadmap to sustain Stonehill Communities well into the future.”

The selection process was conducted by Stonehill’s Board of Directors, who interviewed multiple candidates both local to the tri-states and from other areas.

Both the Board of Directors and Stonehill Executive Team are pleased with the selection.
“We are thrilled to welcome Peggy as the new CEO of Stonehill Communities. Peggy brings with her an intense dedication and industry experience that will translate into the enrichment of the care of residents current and future. She has made it her life’s work to improve the lives of older adults. Under her leadership, the commitment to the Stonehill culture, residents and employees will continue at the highest level. We are confident her leadership will take us to the next chapter of growth and success,” said Kim Budde, Board Chair.

Stockel is expected to begin to transition into the role in July.
