SPECIAL VISITOR RESTRICTIONS REGARDING CORONAVIRUS (COVID 19) AND OTHER COMMUNICABLE DISEASES

Effective: March 11, 2020

Stonehill Communities regards the safety, health, and well-being of our residents and staff as the utmost priority. Staff are receiving additional training on special precautions and the Coronavirus Disease.

In response to the recent information available from the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH), Center for Disease Control (CDC), and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) regarding the prevention of transmission of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), Stonehill Communities has initiated visitor restrictions and additional protocol for the safety and well-being of the residents we care for. These precautions are in place until further notice.

Stonehill is requiring each visitor to complete a questionnaire (below) before visiting. Questionnaires will be available at the Stonehill Health Center front desk, Assisi Village front desk, Stonehill Wellness Center front desk, and at the Human Resources and Outpatient Therapy offices. Please see additional notes below on restrictions to which entrances may be accessed until further notice.

All visitors including resident family members, contractors working on campus, delivery personnel, etc. must complete the questionnaire each time they visit the Stonehill campus. Visitors will be asked to buzz in and a staff member will greet them and assist with completing the questionnaire.

Only 2 healthy adults, who are symptom free will be allowed to visit a resident at the same time. No visitors under 18 years of age will be allowed on campus.

Special Visiting Hours until further notice:

Stonehill Health Center - 1-8 PM daily

Assisi Village - 9 AM-4 PM daily

If a special request needs to be considered, please speak with the Administrator (Peg Stockel) or Director of Nursing (Matt Jahn) or Assisi Village Director (Lisa Crawford). Please call 563-557-7180 with any questions. If you are unable to reach Peg, Matt, and Lisa- you may contact the Health Center House Supervisor.

All visitor access cards will be disabled beginning at 1 pm on March 11, 2020. If a special permission is required due to extenuating circumstances please contact Stonehill and ask to speak to the Administrator (Peg Stockel) or Director of Nursing (Matt Jahn).

Please decrease visits at this time unless necessary and please ask to speak to someone in Activities about options such as Skype or FaceTime to virtually/video chat visit with your loved one.

At this time no volunteers will be visiting campus.
