With the end of the public health emergency (PHE) today, which changes the regulations for notifications regarding COVID-19 cases, this will be our final COVID-19 Status update.
We will no longer be sending updates weekly or when positive cases are identified. However, we are still required to report positive cases to CMS (Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services) and case numbers can be accessed at https://data.cms.gov/covid-19/covid-19-nursing-home-data.
We will be continuing our existing infection control practices including wearing masks, hand hygiene, isolation of individuals positive for COVID-19 offering COVID-19 vaccines. Per CMS regulations, masks continue to be required for staff and visitors when we are in Outbreak Status (a positive resident or staff case in the past 14 days).
There may be risk of exposure to COVID-19 if you visit the Health Center.
No new active cases of COVID-19 identified in Health Center or Assisi Village employees/residents. We are in Outbreak Status due to a recent case. Masks are required for visitors. Visitors are allowed for all residents.
