Update on Resident Visits and current COVID-19 numbers from Stonehill Communities
May 3, 2021
Dear Residents, Resident Representatives, Concerned Families, and Employees,
We are writing to inform you that a Stonehill employee tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, May 2. The employee is currently off work following public health guidelines. Per CMS, Stonehill is currently in "outbreak status," which is defined by CMS as one or more positive cases of COVID-19 in a resident or employee. The outbreak status required Stonehill to suspend visits, with the exception of end-of-life visits, until surveillance testing of all Health Center employees and residents could occur. Please note this testing will not be complete until end of day on Tuesday, May 4.
As we communicated last week, beginning April 29, there will be no resident visits at Stonehill Health Center until at least Tuesday, May 4 (with the exception of compassionate care/end-of-life visits). Stonehill Communities will communicate when all surveillance testing is complete. Please contact social work staff if you have questions.
Please see below for full COVID-19 testing numbers.
Thank you for your understanding as we continue to follow CMS guidelines and work together to keep residents and staff safe.
If you have any questions regarding visitation or our ongoing precautionary measures you may contact Peggy Stockel, V.P. of Operations or Matt Jahn, Director of Health Services at 563-557-7180. We thank you for your continued help as navigate the ever-changing COVID-19 pandemic.
