Weekly Update for Wednesday, November 25, 2020
Happy Thanksgiving from Stonehill Communities.
We know the holiday may look different from past years and we hope you are finding alternative ways to celebrate, including the use of virtual visits.
Did you know Zoom has lifted the time limit on free accounts for Thanksgiving? You can host a Zoom meeting at Zoom.us from a computer, tablet, or mobile phone.
We also encourage families to use the virtual visit option. And information can be found on our website at https://www.stonehilldbq.com/visitor-information/ .
CDC guidelines
The CDC has issued some guidance on how to make holidays safer this year. You can read their recommendations at:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/holidays/thanksgiving.html
Due to the continued COVID-19 activity in our community, rising positivity rates throughout our state, and high rates of hospitalizations in our community, there are currently no in-person visits allowed at the Stonehill Communities Health Center, except in end-of-life situations. We will re-evaluate this restriction on Monday, December 7.
We recognize that it is difficult to not be with your loved ones at the holidays, but it remains important that we are diligent in our safety precautions to protect the vulnerable populations we serve. We are hopeful that a vaccine is coming and until then we must be vigilant in the continued mitigation strategies.
Stonehill Communities is committed to keeping you informed about the on-going testing for COVID-19. We are committed to the continued safety of residents and staff on our campus.
There are currently 8 positive employees at the Stonehill Communities Health Center and 2 positive residents.
