Weekly Update for Friday, January 22, 2021

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues in our country and across the globe, Stonehill Communities continues to follow guidelines from CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services), IDPH (Iowa Department of Public Health) and CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). It is important for us to keep you updated on the COVID-19 activity and mitigation and safety efforts on our campus. We pray for your continued safety and health.

All residents are monitored regularly for symptoms of COVID-19. Residents at the Stonehill Health Center are tested when displaying symptoms of COVID-19 and are also tested weekly as part of this surveillance. Residents on the units where positive cases occurred are being tested daily during the suspected incubation period. Contact tracing is also being performed for positive cases.

Number of Positive Resident Cases: 25 Positive; 23 Recovered

Number of Positive Employee Cases: 18 Positive; 81 Recovered

Number of Resident Tested w/ COVID-19 symptoms or Surveillance Tested (including pending): 121 (5 Pending)

Number of Employees Tested for COVID-19 for Symptoms or Exposure (Including Pending): 277 (4 Pending)

COVID-19 test results for Stonehill Communities- Assisi Village

Number of Positive Residents at Assisi Village: 0 positive; 1 recovered; 0 pending test results

Number of Positive Employees at Assisi Village: 0 positive; 8 recovered; 0 pending


All Stonehill Communities Health Center residents who test positive for COVID-19 are offered the bamlanivimab (BAM) infusions. Stonehill Communities is receiving this from MercyOne. Many residents and staff received their second COVID-19 vaccine at the clinic on Monday, January 18. The third vaccine clinic (for those who received a first dose January 18) will occur on February 8, 2021.
