Update for Monday, August 10, 2020

This communication is to inform you that the Stonehill Communities Health Center has 4 additional employees reporting symptoms and pending test results as of 8/10/20.

Following the report of one positive resident on 8/2/20 and one positive resident on 8/5/20 at the Stonehill Health, baseline testing of all residents and staff from those units was completed. Stonehill Health Center received results and all test results were negative.

Following guidelines on potential incubation periods of 2-14 days, the residents on these units will remain in strict isolation. As previously stated the positive residents were moved to a designated unit and are being provided services by dedicated staff.

Reminder on Safety Precautions During Outdoor Visits

This is a reminder that during outdoor visits the resident and the visitor(s) must wear a face mask (fully covering their mouth and nose), sit 6 feet apart, and use hand sanitizer before and after the visit. Stonehill staff will sanitize the tables and chairs before and after visits.

Stonehill Communities is following guidance from the Iowa Department of Public Health, CDC, and Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) as required.

Number of Positive Resident Cases Stonehill Health Center: 2 positive (8/2/20 & 8/5/20); 1 recovered

Number of Positive Employee Cases Stonehill Health Center: 0 Positive; 9 Recovered

Number of Stonehill Health Center Residents Tested with COVID-19 symptoms and/or exposure: 38 (0 pending)

Number of Stonehill Health Center Employees Tested for COVID-19 symptoms and/or exposure: 120 (6 pending)

The total number of residents and employees tested and pending does not include baseline testing, but rather those who are symptomatic or have a known exposure to COVID-19.
