We have identified new positive cases of COVID-19 in Health Center residents and employees. There are currently 16 positive cases of COVID-19 in staff and residents. We are in Outbreak Status. Affected households include: 1 Southeast, 2 Southeast, 2 Northwest, and 3 Northwest. Visitors are allowed for all residents.

COVID-19 cases/testing at the Stonehill Communities Health Center, as of April 26, 2022:
Positive Resident Cases: 10 Residents; 89 Recovered
Positive Employee Cases: 6 Employees; 203 Recovered
Residents Tested w/ COVID-19 symptoms or Surveillance Tested (including pending): 262 (0 Pending)
Employees Tested for COVID-19 for Symptoms or Exposure (including Pending): 519 (1 Pending)

As we work through this outbreak, additional safety protocols have been put in place:

Meals

All residents in 2NW, 2SE, 1SE, and 3NW will dine in their rooms unless they require assistance with eating. Residents who do require assistance with meals may continue to dine in their respective dining room (wearing a mask to and from the dining room) and eating at a table with no other residents.

Activities

  • Residents in 2NW, 2SE, 1SE, and 3NW must remain on their respective units unless they are doing the following:
Residents without COVID-19 symptoms may come out of their rooms to ambulate, go outside, or go to an appointment. These residents should wear a mask outside of their rooms and perform hand hygiene upon exit/return to room.
  • Residents may continue to have visitors. However, it is strongly encouraged that families/visitors postpone their visits until a later date. If residents are symptomatic or positive for COVID-19, appropriate PPE must be donned/doffed upon entry/exit of resident’s room.
  • Residents from 2NW, 2SE, 1SE, and 3NW may not attend daily Mass in the Chapel, however, Mass may be viewed on the Stonehill channel.

We understand that these additional mitigation strategies make things more challenging, but we believe they are essential to slowing the transmission of COVID-19.

If you have any questions regarding visitation or our ongoing precautionary measures you may contact Peggy Stockel, V.P. of Operations or Matt Jahn, Director of Health Services at 563-557-7180.
